Green house fish farming requires is   set near the homestead .it measures the width of a normal pond which measures from four meters to adesirable length and a shallow depth of one to two meters fo ease of of operations .,The height  was a bit elevated to avoid too much heat  to give conducive enviroment for fingerings and fish to thrive. THe fish raised in the green house pond grew faster than for those in the open pond..fish produced in the open pond face challenges of predators but those inthe green house are protected  from both man and animal predators  

Innovation on use of black Soldier Fly Larvae (BSFL) for high protein chicken feed production by Kienyeji Masters VCO (3m/6f) in Riabai Ward Kiambu Sub-County

The VCOs produce flour that has earthy flavor green banana flour for use in both sweet and savory products. It can be used alone to replace wheat flour or mix/blend with other flours thus reducing the community over-reliance on maize for food security enhancement. Whole (unpeeled) green banana has a high starch content & is gluten free once it turned into flour. It’s a rich source of multi-fibre and minerals/antioxidants therefore good for nutrition and health security.

A fish cage is a technological advancement in the design and operation of fish cages, which are structures used in aquaculture to rear fish in open water bodies such as lakes, rivers, or coastal areas. Innovations in fish cage design aim to improve efficiency, sustainability and the overall productivity of aquaculture operations. A fish cage is an aquaculture production system constructed of wire and fibre netting suspended from a floating frame secured by anchors in the water body,a mooring system with a round or square shape floating net to hold and culture large number of fishes.Materials used in cage construction are advanced materials that are durable, resistant to corrosion and environmentally friendly. High-density polyethylene (HDPE) and other composite materials are commonly employed due to their longevity and low environmental impact where there is improved aeration and water circulation systems. Proper oxygenation is crucial for fish health and this innovations focuses on  maintaining optimal oxygen levels within the cages.  

The group received the following equipment which comprise the banana cottage industry; Banana dehydrators from ASDSP II programme as a start. These dehydrators are used to dry unripe and ripe banana chips as well as banana peels. Banana ripening chambers  which has been beneficial for uniformity and maintaining quality of ripened bananas.  Banana milling machine for grinding the dried banana chips Banana solar drier for scaling up the quantity of bananas to be dried

Youths were trained on standard production procedures,they were given each 100 chicks as a start capital.They were supposed to sell and restock.

Total Mixed Ration feed block is a KALRO innovation that seeks to avail quality daily ration utilizing any locally available materials enabling farmers adequately feed their cows to optimize their production. The feed block is a complete feed for cows that makes it flexible for a farmer to engage in cow milk coast effectively

The prechiller is made of two aluminium containers each with a capacity of 50kg, which are mounted on both side in a motorbike enabling the transporter  to collect 100kg of milk. The Aluminium containers are covered with solar energy absorbing materials, with a back-up battery. The system is well connected and fixed for ease of portability while ensuring the milk is chilled while being transported to society main cooling unit. The prechiller is an easy to clean containers hence very recommendable for milk collection.  

The hay store constructed has a capacity of 3000 bales

Chest freezer is a cooling equipment that utilizes thermal regulation to reduce  post production loses of meat.
